Director of Promotions / Your Army Management
Your Army was founded in 2007 by James Pitt. With 20 years experience in dance music, James has worked with the best and biggest selling dance acts in the world; from Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, Leftfield, The Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers through to Underworld, LCD Soundsystem, Portishead, DJ Shadow, Kraftwerk and Massive Attack.
James oversees all promotional campaigns focussing on early strategic planning and works across the growing Your Army Management roster.
Director Of Promotions
Christian joined the then newly-founded Your Army in 2007 working across club and radio promotions. He immediately made an impact, consistently delivering notable campaigns. As the company grew he specialised in radio promotions and became Director in 2011.
The last five years in particular have seen Christian plug 15 UK number one singles and 74 top 40 singles (44 of which were top 10) as well as working with some of the most exciting acts around such as Disclosure, Sam Smith, London Grammar, Tame Impala, Frank Ocean, Major Lazer, Childish Gambino, Chemical Brothers and more.
Head of Promotions
Amy joined Your Army in 2013 from an independant promotions company working both upcoming and established artists. In 2014 she launched the TV department with James and Christian.
Since introducing the TV service Amy has driven projects with the likes of Christine and the Queens, Major Lazer and RAY BLK whilst also leading on National Radio campaigns including Francis and the Lights, NAO and Wretch 32.
In her spare time Amy teaches Dance classes, presents a specialist show on Soho Radio and also runs Women in Music night 'Flexx' with Jamz Supernova.
National Radio Manager
Michael joined Your Army in 2014 bringing two years major label experience with him from Island Records - Michael worked on campaigns such as Robbie Williams, Florence & The Machine, Nicki Minaj and John Newman, all achieving number one albums.
As National Radio Manager for Your Army, Michael has had further success with KDA, Secondcity, Kiesza, Major Lazer & David Zowie as #1 singles and Disclosure, Chemical Brothers & Tame Impala with top 3 albums (2 of which were #1). Michael has enjoyed working with some of the most credible acts around such as Dusky, Duke Dumont, Eats Everything, London Grammar, Simian Mobile Disco, Tourist, Jonas Rathsman, Julio Bashmore and more.
Radio & TV Promotions Manager
Martin currently works some of the most credible and exciting artists around including Christine and the Queens (whose single ‘Tilted’ was the most played independent release on Radio 1 in 2016), Jax Jones, Riton, Childish Gambino, Bonobo, London Grammar, Little Dragon, Metronomy and more. Martin started his career in music as a DJ and producer then went on to run successful club nights before entering the world of Radio and TV promotions.
Head Of PR
Bringing nearly 8 years experience in PR, Alice joined Your Army in August 2014.
Having lead campaigns for diverse range of acts including Azari & III, Plastikman, Goldfrapp, Despacio, Sinead O’Connor, Dizzee Rascal, Iggy Azalea, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Courteeners amongst many others, Alice brings a wealth of experience across both online and print press.
She is currently working across a host of successful campaigns with labels including Black Butter, Sony, Virgin EMI, Believe, Kobalt, Ministry, Of Sound amongst others.
Emily joined Your Army in April 2016.
After attending Newcastle University, she moved to San Francisco to work at a tech PR agency (clients were Facebook, Slack and New Relic). Keen to not lose touch with the UK music scene, she spent most of her time freelance blogging for Indie Shuffle as a Staff Writer. She soon realized where her passion lied and moved back to London to pursue a career in music PR.
Starting off as a press assistant at an independent booking and PR agency, she worked on international tour press for artists including Felix Cartal, Congorock, TWRK, Tropkillaz and Black Butter Records. Next, she moved to AEI Media where as a freelance publicist she led (compilation) album, single and EP campaigns for their labels and affiliated brands including UKF, TheSoundYouNeed, All Trap Music, Hot Damm, NCS, EDM.com, Titan Records, Drum & Bass Arena and Butterz.
Now at Your Army, Emily works across a host of campaigns with labels including Houndstooth, Black Butter, Sony, Because, OWLSA, Crosstown Rebels, Disturbing London as well coordinating the press for Together Ibiza and People From Ibiza at Amnesia.
Sophie joined Your Army in June 2016 as Press Assistant.
Following her graduation from Brighton University in June 2015, Sophie completed a 6 month internship at Purple PR where she assisted on a range of campaigns including a #1 album campaign for The Lumineers and bespoke online campaigns for emerging artists Bishop Nehru and Kali Uchis.
Sophie now assists Your Army’s press team across campaigns with Believe Rec, Disturbing London, Beverly Martel, PIAS, TSYN Records and Virgin EMI, as well as managing various blog outreach campaigns for both new and established artists.
Club Promotions Manager
Silas joined the Your Army team in late 2014 after co-founding and directing the Leeds based club night and record label, Brotherhood.
Running regular events in one of the UK's most vibrant cities has enabled Silas to bring a fresh perspective to the club team, not to mention an encyclopedic knowledge of bass music.
Also a successful touring DJ and content writer for blogs and festival websites, Silas will be assisting on all club campaigns. His razor-sharp knowledge of the current scene coupled with a fantastic understanding of multiple genres make him an invaluable addition to the team.
Club Promotions Manager
With a love for all things electronic and a passion for 4/4 beats, a career at the heart of the dance music industry was always Tom’s aim, who joined the Your Army team at the start of 2015.
After attending Leeds University he moved to London and interned at Forward Thinking Music, assisting the management team across artists including Timo Maas, Tim Green and Fur Coat. In 2013 his intense love for all things house and techno took him to Ibiza, where he spent a season as Marketing Assistant for the legendary Café Mambo as well as a stint working as part the Toolroom street team.
Returning home to his native town of Liverpool he co-founded the successful Jolt club night, bringing talent in the shape of Lee Curtiss, wAFF and Brawther to Merseyside, as well as developing his A&R and promotion skills further as label manager for tastemaker imprint, Flumo.
With a strong and varied skill set across a variety of industry roles, Tom will be working alongside Silas in the Club Department, deploying his promotional and organisational nous to ensure the club department is firing on all cylinders, 24/7.
Head of US Promotions
Matt Black joined Your Army in 2013. Having worked as an artist manager, a DJ and an intergral part of the Los Angeles based website and events company Gotta Dance Dirty, Matt has spent years with his finger on the pulse of the burgeoning dance music scene in America.
Following his schooling at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a brief stint living in Berlin, he moved to Los Angeles and began working as Gotta Dance Dirty's Executive Editor while also working at a mainstream management company helping set up an electronic division.
Now, as Head of US Promotiond, he aims to build Your Army America to be as influential as it is on the other side of the Atlantic.
US Club Promotions Manager
Brandon Reynolds joined the Your Army America team at the outset of 2015. While earning his degree at San Diego State University, he began working with local concert promoters LED Presents (now partnered with Goldenvoice/AEG Live), contributing to hundreds of clubs shows and large-scale events across Southern California.
Over those years, his deep passion and superb ear for dance music led him to become a resident DJ at an array of San Diego’s top nightclubs, but in search of greater opportunities to contribute to the burgeoning American dance music industry, he moved to Los Angeles in search of his next venture.
Now, as US Club Promotions Manager for Your Army America, he looks to continue the growth of Your Army overseas, while maintaining and contributing to its established reputation in the UK.
US Radio Promotions Manager
Mick joined Your Army America midway through 2016, with nearly a decade of both indie and major label experience.
During his tenure as the Head of Radio and PR for Sweat It Out Music in Sydney, Australia, he led long-term Radio and PR campaigns for RÜFÜS DU SOL, What So Not, Yolanda Be Cool, and many others.
Prior to that, he engaged in Marketing and Sociology studies before entering Universal Music Australia’s Marketing Department. After further stints in Marketing at Warner Music Australia and then again back at Universal, he transitioned to a promotions based position at Sweat It Out Music where he spent five years helping to grow the company and its roster.
As the US Radio Promotions Manager, Mick looks to build upon the strong foundations laid by the Club Department, taking campaigns in the USA into a new realm.
US Digital Promotions Manager
With over six years digital marketing experience, Brandon joined Your Army America at the beginning of 2016 to launch a new Digital Department.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, Brandon got his start in dance music at an LA-based digital marketing firm, building out a music management and marketing division for the company.
In 2013, Brandon launched WeBRAND, an eCommerce and merchandising platform, where he worked with a wide range of artists, digital influencers, and brands to help build new sources of revenue.
Now overseeing all digital marketing and brand partnership efforts, Brandon brings an entirely new approach to campaigns that Your Army’s not offered before.
Owyn joins Your Army with a background in artist management and tour bookings. Having ran his own music management company for two years, his experience in music started 13 years ago setting up specialist music events at the age of 15. His career progression has seen him work as a booking agent, whilst developing and working alongside online, radio and marketing teams within his own company.
Having worked alongside musicians at every stage, artist management has been a natural progression for Owyn with his roster of artists including Just Kiddin and OLUGBENGA.
Building upon the already present Your Army artist management roster Owyn will be working alongside James Pitt to expand the department with some exciting new electronic acts including Arches, James Cherry and Jonas Rathsman.
Artist Management Assistant
Joining the Management Department as an intern in early 2016, Maarten worked his way to becoming our full time Management Asisitant.
During his studies at Loughborough University, his passion for music took him onto co-running an underground club night that will be celebrating its 8th birthday in 2016. Bringing names such as Disclouse, Skream, Dusky, Bicep, Eats Everything, Shy FX and many more to the small university town of Loughborough, he already has great experience within events and with world class DJs.
Since moving to London after his studies he has worked for The Columbo Group’s promotions team as well as a content writer for an underground techno blog Watch The Hype. Now in his chosen career path of Artist Management, Maarten will be working alongside Owyn Sidwell & James Pitt assisting the development of the department and working across all of our artists.
Accounts Administrator / Office manager
With a hands on experience in various office environments Agnes joined Your Army Ltd in 2014. She is here to look after our customer’s accounts and resolve any issues in a friendly and professional manner.
She is training to be a fully qualified accountant and has a real love for music, so this is a dream position for her! Feel free to contact Agnes for any accounts or general office related queries.
