Hailing from the small town of Kettering, Northamptonshire, Just Kiddin have gained props from heavy weight DJs such as Duke Dumont, Tensnake, Gorgon City and The Magician. With radio support from Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw as well as Pete Tong and national airplay in the US, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and Spain, they have already accumulated a growing worldwide fan-base.
Drawing on their experiences as musicians - Laurie playing the drums, and Lewis playing guitar - their productions are focused on creating organic, multi-dimensional music that have warm and addictive melodies. In 2013 Just Kiddin made their entrance via Nurvous Records with a swift follow up release on Ministry Of Sound’s underground imprint HK Records. They then started playing shows around the UK alongside acts such as Bohdi, Second City, Leftwing & Kody and Cause & Effect. Just Kiddin’s breakthrough came with their remix of Claptone’s summer hit ‘No Eyes’ released on Exploited Records. The track was premiered exclusively by Mixmag, and went on to feature in their Top 10 Exclusive Downloads of 2013 at #4, gathering four million views on the YouTube channel The Sound You Need. Further releases on Eton Messy Records and Black Butter Records laid the foundations for 2014 with their summer anthem ‘Thinking About It’ via a partnership between Parlophone’s dance imprint FFRR and leading UK tastemakers Eton Messy Records. After being secretly premiered as the opening track on The Magician’s ‘Magic Tape 41’, and featuring as an untitled track on Soundcloud channel #Unknown, ‘Thinking About It’ went on to receive over three-million plays online.
Just Kiddin have gone onto remix Bipolar Sunshine, La Roux and Hayden James as well as their 2015 summer anthem ‘Fall For You’. With their sound in high demand, Just Kiddin have exactly what it takes to be the UK’s next breakthrough act.
